Folly Field, Bradley, Singleton, Burkes Beaches
Turn down these roads just off highway 278 between
Palmetto Dunes and Port Royal Plantation and you’ll find
public beach accesses on all but Singleton. The perfect
activity along any of these outlets is biking on the
hard sand beaches. All of these are older neighborhoods
that were primarily populated by native islanders long
before the first bridge to the island was built in 1956.
The first vacation cottages were built on Folly Field
Road.
Folly Field Beach Park is located mid-island at
the end of Folly Field Road. The designated swimming
area is 100 feet north and 200 feet south.
